Self-Care is an essential element for success in your life. As a college student, it is the one trick that I have been utilizing for my academic and personal success. The time that I spend caring and loving myself results in my excellence in the activities that I am in. 

Incorporating self-care in your week is not always easy, but it is a great way to provide you with more energy to make it through the week and for the weeks to come. 

Here is a list of ways to bring self-care into your productive week and a Complimentary Self-Care Journal!

SUNDAY- THE PREPARATION DAY 

Sundays are for brunch, naps, and preparation for the week ahead. This is a great day to look at your outfits for the week, meal-prep your meals, schedule your workouts, craft a to-do list, set small goals for you to accomplish, and set your mind on a successful week!

MONDAY – THE JUMP-START DAY

Mondays are the most dreaded day of the week, but there are simple tasks you can accomplish in order to make your Mondays more productive and enjoyable. Mondays are a great day to jump-start your week with a good workout such as yoga, pilates, weight training, walking, etc. You can take care of something that has been on your to-do list for a long time. This is the day you have the most energy, so do something productive that will make you proud.

TUESDAY – THE TECHNOLOGY BREAK DAY

Tuesdays are a great day to step away from the technology and choose a fun activity to keep you busy! Most people would suggest this for later in the week, but that is around the time that you would be burnt out and you should take some much-needed steps to get ahead of that. Find ways to enjoy the things around you that do not involve technology and engage with others. Go for a walk with friends or your favorite four-legged friend, read a book, go out and break bread with those you care about and have a heartfelt conversation. Whatever you do, put your gadgets to the side.

WEDNESDAY – THE REFLECTION DAY

Wednesdays are a great day for reflection. Find moments throughout the day to reflect on the week, your goals and your dreams. Reflection is essential for growth and you should spend some time with yourself to grow and flourish. Grab a notebook, light a candle, write out your thoughts!

THURSDAY – THE SELF-CARE DAY

Thursdays are a great self-care day. Self-care can mean different things to different people, so this is a great day to define what it means to you and allow yourself to indulge in the things that make you happy and bring you care. My self-care days can be facemask, bubble baths, decluttering my room, journaling, Bible study, or simply binging my favorite TV show. Whatever brings you joy and comfort is great to practice on this day!

FRIDAY – THE SHAWTY GET LOOSE DAY

Fridays are the days that people live for. Fridays mean the weekend which means unlimited time to do whatever you want! This is a great day to kick-start your weekend plans, whether that means heading out of town, or simply spending the weekend chilling at home. Regardless of what you are up to, this is a great day to prepare. Create a list of activities that you would like to accomplish for the next few days. This is also a great day to let your hair down and get loose! Have fun and enjoy the extra time!

SATURDAY – THE ___________ DAY

Saturdays are for doing whatever you want, so do it. Regardless if you are catching up on some chores around the house, going on an adventure with the right travel essentials, or simply sleeping in all-day, spend the day doing you, cutie!
