Hi, I’m Chimara!
Over the past few years, I have been uncovering my passion and purpose in my life. As a young adult and college student, I constantly feel pressured to have my life figured out to a T. Everyone expects me to know what I want to do with my life, but I’m still trying to uncover who I am and the meaning for my life. I wanted to find what I love and make it the reason why I wake up each and every day. If you know me, you know that my love is for justice and working as a prosecutor to bring about restorative justice is the reason why I wake up each and every day.
With this great passion and purpose come great responsibility and commitments, one is going to law school after I finish my undergraduate schooling. I am so excited to go down this path, but after doing some research, I discovered that it is not as easy as I dreamt that it would be. I wanted to go to school in a beautiful place at a beautiful school where I could study criminal law and prepare to be a prosecutor, but for many young adults, lack of financial stability gets in the ways of our dreams. I did not want that to be the case for me, so I started blogging and haven’t looked back!
I started Table Salt as a means to create a lifestyle that allowed me to do all the things that I loved (spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, and going to school).
This may come as a shocker to you, but blogging is not easy. Sure it is great when you get to be your own boss and create content that you are truly passionate about, but generating a consistent and secure income while blogging takes strategic planning, time and energy. The commitment alone is the hardest element, but I was up for the challenge and wanted to create a blog where I could come to get away from the worries of the world and feel inspired. I wanted to create a place for us!
Table Salt is my way of connecting with you through our three principles:
Through these three principles, Conversation, Inspiration, and Lifestyle, I aim to create a stronger Connection between us. My goal is to create a place where we can dive into deep conversations about thought-provoking issues, a place where lifestyle tips are shared to make you the best at what you are doing, a place where we can inspire one another to be our best self and a place where we can pass the salt by encouraging others to join us.
This is Table Salt!
